Thanks, GM. I was actually going to put in more damping, but stopped myself.

The amp I'm using has an output impedance of .8 Ohms.

Then tune it wherever it sounds best.

I guess I need to make some grilles. Or another A7 cab for the cat.

How about putting something on the backside of the port? That way the cat can't go through, and you don't spoil the view.

One advantage of A7s on wheels and a sliding door in your listening room...

Right on! My former home is on a corner lot of a short cul-de-sac and back then ['70-'75] it was a new subdivision full of < early 30s couples, most with young kids, so we would put the A4s up against the house's brick wall at each end of the concrete patio for weekend 'block' parties that drew folks from surrounding areas and even passersby from the main highway ~ 1.5 mi. away. The downside was I 'lost' one way or another quite a few pristine 'keepsake' 45, LP recordings dating from 1940. The few do their best to ruin it for the many.

Fabulous fun times otherwise though, really miss them.

    Look nice !!
BTW what is the model of the horn and HF driver? I am thinking to put Altec drivers to my Klangfilm cabinets which I procured by chance years ago and idling with no specific plan yet. The horn in the picture seems to fit to my Klangfilm cab.
One other. Is it O.K to match 1285 network to 515s? It is 8 ohm to 15 ohm, isn't it?

It looks like the opening in your cabs are too big for a direct fit. The horns are MRII564s. They're 12-3/4" wide and 13" high overall.

As far as the crossover, I have no idea. Better minds than mine might know the ramifications of using an N1285 with 515Bs. I have a pair of N801-8As, but one needs repair. It's on the list.

I'm really thinking hard about bi-amping them anyway.

Nice setup Alan! I love the way a great speaker system sounds outside without all the bounce/echo/reverb from four walls and a ceiling.....
